Creative Vision Web Consulting launched two new websites for local clients last week, one from Milford Township and one from Philadelphia.
The first website belongs to a famous and well respected non-profit organization called Work To Ride. This community-based prevention program aids disadvantaged urban youth though constructive activities centered on horsemanship, equine sports and education. The program is housed at Chamounix Stables, located in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.
Their existing website was designed with Drupal many years ago and essentially abandoned. They were paying too much for services they weren’t using and facing issues that arise when a website isn’t maintained. I rebuilt it on WordPress and moved it to hosting company I use for my clients’ sites, where as a reseller, I pass on my discount and do not mark it up. The new Work to Ride website is mobile friendly and will meet WCAG AA Accessibility guidelines.
The second website is for local government. Milford township is located in Upper Bucks County and is a fast growing area with a new hospital going in and the widening of the PA turnpike and Quakertown exchange, which falls in the township boundaries. The old site was straight HTML and also not well maintained. It was not mobile friendly and not accessible.
I, and my designer, rebuilt the site taking their existing content and developing a WordPress site designed for local governments. The highlight is the 3 boxes on the homepage that make it fast and easy for residents to get their most commonly requested information as well as news.
